Get Ready to Loppet
Interior BC has a great Loppet Series. What's a Loppet? It's the half marathon, the marathon, the Grand Fondo, of cross country skiing. You enter to finish, to win, whatever suites you. Why, because you like to ski.
The Kal West Loppet series is unique to Canada, maybe the US, maybe the world, really!! No where are there as many high quality ski venues and loppets in such a relatively close proximity as those that make up this Loppet series. If you are familiar with the series, you will be interested to know that the series has expanded from 5 to 7 events.
Here's the schedule.
• This is a Pursuit event where participants ski 15k classic, followed by another 15k on a different course. Participants may enter as a time with one person skiing the classic portion and hand off to a team mate who will ski the skate portion. Others will choose to enter solo, skiing both courses.
• Race fees in the past have been $30
• Awards for those who participate in 5 of 7 loppets in the series
• Aggregate awards are based on a participants 4 best performances.

SLN Masters are getting ready to Loppet and invite you to join. No previous experience is necessary.
