Bio of Therese Roberts

 

Born in Switzerland moved to Canada in 1969

Active in Skiing, Kayaking, Cycling, Hiking and more

*  In 1999 I participated in the WMC in Grindelwald

*  Over the years I have been involved in cross country skiing in Europe and Canada

*  Active member for several year of the Edmonton Nordic Ski Club . 

*  Volunteered, helped organize and took part in many races, including at Highland Nordic, Duntroon, Ontario.

 

*  In my working career I had many different and great opportunities in the Hospitality Industry and the Corporate World. 

*  Worked many years for Westin Hotels in Vancouver and Edmonton in Management positions

*  Worked for the Organizing Comittee of the World University Games in Edmonton looking after all the housing requirements.

*  Volunteered for the Commonwealth Games training the volunteers .

*  My last job was with Canada Bread (Maple Leaf Food) as Manager of Property Leasing and Space Planning/Office Services.

 

 

 

The Goods on Gerry Breneman

 

I retired to Vernon 4 years ago after a career of teaching high school in Fort McMurray. While there I helped to establish the Ptarmigan Nordic Ski Club and served on the executive for a dozen years, 10 of which were in the role of President. For my wife and myself, skiing was a major factor in our choice to relocate to this area. The ski conditions have more than surpassed our expectations not to mention the level of organization of the SLN and it's full realm of service and activities. My involvement with the SLN has included assisting with Track Attack, officiating at NORAMs, guiding with the Ski for Light as well racing in all of the loppets in the series and helping at the Paralympics as a Fore Runner.
