Volunteering it is not a life sentence…
Our Ski League Programs are focused on fun and that includes the volunteers!
What is involved?
There are several areas available for you to volunteer in, our hope is that you will find something you enjoy doing and have fun with others who share the same interests. We know that your time is as precious to you as it is to us, so we reward you for your efforts.
Rewards?
All program volunteers are welcome to join us through out the season for some help with their ski technique and fun social times at the lodge. We have hired a full time top level coach this season with our eyes on making sure we are able to keep improving our programs and your experience with them.
What are my Options?
Coach
This is a great option to spend some time on your skis with your kids and their friends. All of our Jackrabbit coaches are certified under the NCCP system…Are You?
"No" – That is ok, we have the will and the ability to help you learn the basics, get you up to speed and then get you certified…all for free. You don’t have to jump right in with both feet, get comfortable by working with another coach this season to learn the ropes, just get out there and play with the kids
"Yes" – Are you interested in furthering your training, we are happy to help you out. Again we will spend the time to give you the knowledge and then offer you the chance to get that next level in exchange for your time.
Co-Ordination
Maybe you don’t have time on the weekend to spare, but you can give us a few hours a week to help keep the other parents up to date on happenings of the week, help organise special events and trips, or help us with other basic communications. You will receive all the information you need from the club and a list of appropriate contacts.
Set-up and Take down
Each week we need to be sure the kids know where to go to meet their group leaders. It is a quick and easy process, but someone has to do it.
Occasionally throughout the season we hold special fun events for the kids and some of them take some prep time to set up and tear back down
Snacks
How much more can we say, everyone loves snacks…Maybe you could make your speciality or just cut up some fruit; anything healthy works to help the kids and volunteers have a nutritious break…Help us feed our rabbits for a couple of Saturdays this winter.
