Where do I meet the bus?
The bus will be in front of The Bulldog Hotel daily at 8:30am to take everyone to the Sovereign Lake Nordic Center, leaving the Sovereign Lake Nordic Center at 11:45am in front of the lodge, returning to The Bulldog Hotel for lunch.
Where are the lunches?
The Bulldog Grand Cafe which is located inside The Bulldog Hotel.
Where is the wine and cheese the night before my xc ski camp starts?
The Bulldog Grand Cafe at 7:00pm.
Will we be skiing in both Classic and Free (skating) techniques?
You choise, we offer skate only groups, classic only groups and groups doing both skate and classic alternating days.
Should I bring my own skis and boots?
It is best to bring your own equipment. The camp will have a supply of skis to demo. Skis may be rented at Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre, Stussi Sport in Vernon and at Valhalla Sports at Silver Star Mountain.
Do I need to bring my own wax?
It is best to bring a small supply of your own wax. We will have some waxes from our suppliers for trial.
Do I need to bring my own waxing iron?
If you have a waxing iron, bring it with you. We can share if asked.
What is included in the camp price?
- 2.5 hours instruction daily

How do I get to Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre and Silver Star Mountain Resort?
It's easy to get to Silver Star, located 22 km (12 miles) northeast of Vernon in British Colombia, Canada.
Your best bet to make it to Silver Star in comfort and in time to ski freshly groomed tracks with the VERNON AIRPORTER.
Driving
If you're driving, connect with Highway 97 to Vernon and follow 48th Avenue to Silver Star Road and follow for 22 km (12 miles). Silver Star Road leads you directly to Silver Star Mountain Resort where you can check into your hotel, condo or vacation home.
Check out the Sovereign Lake Nordic Center on your way up by turning turing left on Sovereign Lake Road 2.5km before Silver Star Mountain Resort.

Airlines
Kelowna International Airport is serviced by many airlines including Air Canada, Jazz, WestJet, Horizon Air - Alaska Airlines, and Regional 1 Airlines. These airlines are partnered with many international carriers and fly non-stop to Kelowna daily from Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Kamloops, Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Red Deer and Seattle.
WestJet offers 6 non-stop flights per week, as well as daily direct flights from Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver! All Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz flights in and out of Kelowna are a jet service which eliminates any bag problems and cut flight times from Calgary and Vancouver down to 40 minutes! You will be skiing an hour after landing!
Airport hosts can be found in the arrivals lounge and are identifiable by their yellow vests. A frequent shuttle service is available between Silver Star mountain and the airport.
