SEEDING:

For open class races, the current seeding period points lists (SPL's) for both distance races and sprint races prepared from the Canada Points list will be used to determine seeding.

For all races the Senior Men and Junior Men and the Senior Women and Junior Women classes will be combined for seeding purposes and run as single open classes. The open classes will be separated into individual categories (Senior Men, Junior Men, Senior Women and Junior Women) for awards and results listing.

Mass start
In the mass start race (Pursuit without a Break) Open Men and Open Women classes will be seeded by using the Distance SPL. The best skier gets position one in the start grid. Those not on the Distance SPL will be drawn as a group and placed behind the last SPL skier.

Sprints
In the sprint races seeding for the qualification round for Open Men (Senior Men and Junior Men) and Open Women ( Senior Women and Junior Women) will be done by Sprint SPL. Skiers will be grouped and bib assignment within the groups will be by Sprint SPL ranking. Skiers with CCC licences but no CCC points will be grouped and drawn together and skiers with CCBC ski licences will be grouped and drawn together. All other age classes will be grouped according to licences. National licence holders will be drawn before Provincial licence holders.

In the open class of NORAM races, CCC or FIS licenced skiers will receive preferred seeding and all other entries will be seeded lower.

Foreign competitors with FIS points will be included in the top seed and placed in that seed as best possible by comparing their FIS points to those of the Canadian competitors.

LICENCES: A SKIER MUST HAVE A VALID LICENCE TO REGISTER

A skier registering without a valid licence will be issued a CCC Ski Day Licence ($5.00) and be seeded accordingly. The charge for the licence will be added to the entry fee.
