Thank You for Your Voice: 2024–2025 Membership Survey Results
At Sovereign Lake Nordic Club, your input is invaluable in shaping the experience we offer to our members. This spring, we invited all members to share their thoughts through our 2024–2025 Membership Survey. We are excited to share the key findings with you — and more importantly, how your feedback is helping us plan for the future.
What We Heard
More than anything, your responses reinforced what makes SLNC so special: a strong sense of community, dedication to excellence, and a shared passion for Nordic skiing.
Here are a few of the major takeaways:
- Trail Grooming and Facilities
Trail grooming continues to be one of the most highly valued services. Members consistently praised the quality and consistency of trail maintenance throughout the season. - Lodge Facilities and Customer Service
Many of you highlighted the importance of our lodge amenities — from comfortable boot-up spaces to helpful lodge staff. Your feedback underscores how critical these spaces are for creating a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere at SLNC. - Program Opportunities
Members expressed interest in expanding offerings, including additional lessons, clinics, and social events. Youth and family programs were also frequently mentioned as an important growth area. - Food and Beverage Services
Availability of simple snacks and beverages at the lodge was noted as a valuable and appreciated service, with some members suggesting even more variety. - Recognition of Our Volunteers and Staff
We were heartened to see so many of you recognizing our volunteers and staff members for their dedication and service. Thank you for helping us celebrate the people who make SLNC such a special place.
Where We Can Improve
No organization is perfect, and your thoughtful suggestions help us continue striving for excellence. Areas where members saw opportunities for improvement included:
- Enhancing communication around trail conditions and events (building on the success of Nordic Pulse)
- Expanding dog-friendly facilities
- Continuing to improve signage and on-site amenities
We take all feedback seriously and are already incorporating these suggestions into our planning for the upcoming season.
