Trail Conditions for January 17th, 2019
Tuesday 16th Jan 8:00 am
Most trails will be freshly groomed today except parts of Upper World Cup, Revenge and Gold Mountain. These trails are in great shape as the snow is firm. (Not hard). Hard for the groomer though as it is slow going to get a nice track.
Note: Prince of Wales is just the vertical trail between Maid of Vernon and Silver Queen, which now goes all of the way through to the donut in the Zumas.
Note to Backcountry skiers: All of the backcountry trails have been skied with the exception of Alder Trail. Some caution as no brushing has been done and there are a few trees across the trails. Many of the creek crossing are narrow so care needs to be taken at those spots. These trails requires wide skis and of course large baskets.
Remember that Gold Mtn is accessed from the park sign at the far end of the 3rd parking lot. Use caution on Gold Mountain as snow is thin in places.
Our snowshoe trails are now officially open with all of the trails well packed. The exception is Wild Goose which only gets occasional use, well worth it though.
Please park at a 45 degree angle and close to the vehicle beside you. It makes it a lot easier to get out of your parking spot when there is a center row of vehicles.
Come on up and enjoy early winter at it’s best!
