WELCOME TO OUR MASTERS BIATHLON PROGRAM FOR THE 2022-23 SEASON!
The Masters Biathlon Program offers a diverse range of programming options for new shooters through experienced race competitors. This program is designed for participants with strong skiing skills that can take those talents to the mat and apply them to the sport of biathlon. The focus is on technical skill development, speed and accuracy control as well as ski transition in and out of the range.
Biathlon is a competitive sport. Race participation is strongly encouraged but not necessary. We encourage you to participate in regional and provincial races with our team when permissible to develop your skiing and shooting skills.
Sovereign Masters Biathlon promotes the joy of skiing, shooting, building friendships, and adding to one’s skiing skills in a fun social group setting while working hard.
Coordinated by our Biathlon Lead Coach, this program aims to provide a space for quality learning and technical skill development. This program is not for beginner skiers who should be comfortable skiing most green and blue trails at Sovereign Lake as training sessions will lead to many different areas of the trail network, including some downhill-specific training sessions.
Is this sounding like it is a bit outside of your abilities? We offer a Masters XC Program as well as Intro to Skiing Packages for new skiers through our Day Lodge.
