2019 Sovereign Lake Open

Welcome to the 2019 Sovereign Lake Open

Sovereign Lake Nordic Club is always excited to host early-season world-class competitions at our high altitude venue. Preparations are well underway. Please review the Race Notice carefully for event details and times.

SLNC is taking a hiatus from hosting NorAms this season in preparation for hosting Ski National Championships and US SuperTour finals from March 25th to April 2nd, 2020.  That being said we don’t want to leave our racers without an early season opening race so we have re-invigorated the Sovereign Open for 2019 to provide two distance races back to back. Plans may change to host a Sprints Day. (Stay tuned)

Should you have any additional questions please contact our Race Secretary at [email protected]

CLASSIC TECHNIQUE CONTROL ZONES

For the 2019 season, Nordiq Canada will continue utilizing Classic Technique Control Zones. These zones require all athletes to classic stride within the designated zones, labeled with large red signage and blue whiskers. It is the athlete’s responsibility to know the location of these zones by pre-skiing their course.
