Trail Conditions for January 20th, 2019
Sunday January 20th 11 am
All trails are freshly groomed today except for parts of Upper World Cup.
The almost full moon was exceptional last night. If the weather cooperates, check out the special moon and eclipse tonight!
Jessica’s Trail was groomed yesterday Here is an opportunity to classic ski a wonderful trail that winds back and forth through the forest and wetlands near the stadium. It starts at the junction of Maid of Vernon and Carl Wylie. A great way to start or end your day.
Note to Backcountry skiers: All of the backcountry trails have been skied with the exception of Alder Trail. Some caution as no brushing has been done and there are a few trees across the trails. Many of the creek crossing are narrow so care needs to be taken at those spots. These trails requires wide skis and of course large baskets.
Remember that Gold Mtn is accessed from the park sign at the far end of the 3rd parking lot. Use caution on Gold Mountain as snow is thin in places.
Our snowshoe trails are now officially open with all of the trails well packed. The exception is Wild Goose which only gets occasional use, well worth it though.
Please park at a 45 degree angle and close to the vehicle beside you. It makes it a lot easier to get out of your parking spot when there is a center row of vehicles.
Come on up and enjoy early winter at it’s best!
